DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Vientiane Arrival - That Luang Stupa & Patuxay Monument

Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by your local private guide.

After lunch visit That Luang Stupa, which was built in circa 236 BC to keep the relic of Buddha. This is the main worship site for Buddhist people and now it is a National Lao symbol.

From here we then take a short drive to Patuxay (the Victory Gate Monument) which was given by the French to Lao Government when we had the first independence in 1946 AD. Resembling the famous Arc De Triomphe in Paris this is now the landmark of Vientiane. From here you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening you will then have free time at leisure to explore the night market where you can purchase local products as souvenirs and explore the night life in the city.

Day 2 – Vientiane Wat Sisaket - COPE Centre & Vang Vieng by Train

Your guide will meet you at your hotel for this one-day tour around Vientiane.

The first stop is Wat Sisaket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, as well as Vat Hor Pha Keo - the Emerald Buddha temple was built in 16th century now it is a Buddhist artifacts Museum.

Next make a visit to the COPE Centre, a small museum and charity for the victims of the bombings in Laos between 1964 - 1973 when over 2 million tons of ordinance was dropped on Laos and learn how unexploded bombs are still effecting Lao people today.

From here transfer to the train station for the 1.15 train ride to Vang Vieng. The town lies on the Nam Song River and one of the notable features of the area is the karst hill landscape surrounding the town.

Check in to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore this lovely town or relax on the scenic banks of the Song River.
Day 3 – Vang Vieng - Tham Chang Cave - Blue Lagoon - Pha Namxay

After breakfast visit Tham Chang Cave which was used as a war shelter when the Chinese invaded in 1887. The locals stumbled on the cave during the Civil War while seeking refuge. Due to the high location the cave offered a perfect view over Vang Vieng so the entire village moved here to sit out the war.

From Tham Chang cave is a short drive to the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with crystal clear water.

Next take a hike to Pha Namxay Viewpoint which is the best spot for breathtaking views of the mountains, forest and rice fields below offering an amazing photo opportunity.

The remainder of the day is free for you to explore this lovely town or relax on the scenic banks of the Song River.
Day 4 – Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang by Train - City Tour

Check out of your hotel and transfer to the train station for your onward train journey to the beautiful UNESCO town of Luang Prabang

Upon arrival transfer by private vehicle to Wat Xieng Thong Temple which is one of the most beautiful temples in Laos.

A short stroll through the town to observe the colonial architecture before a short hike to the top of Mount Phousi for a stunning 360 degree view of the town.

Your evening is at leisure where you may choose to stroll around the night market for some souvenir shopping.
Day 5 - Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall - Pak Ou Cave - Vientiane (tour ends)​

Departing your hotel, transfer by private minivan to Kuang Si Waterfall.

Upon arrival take a leisurely stroll through National Park stopping on the way to visit the Asian Bear Rescue Centre before reaching the famous waterfall. Enjoy feeling the mist of the cool turquoise water and take a refreshing swim should you wish.

Departing the waterfall for Pak-Ou cave and witness the intriguing sight of over 4,000 Buddha images.

On the way back to Luang Prabang stopping at Ban Xang Hai, also known as the Whiskey Village to see the process of making Lao-Lao, the famous Lao Whiskey.

The final top is the Luang Prabang train station where you will board the train back to Vientiane where your tour ends.
