Witness the multitude of Buddhist statues at Pak-Ou Cave on the Mekong River.  Take a tour boat ride to soak up some of the natural beauty and local culture that revolves around the river before enjoying a traditional lunch in front of Pak-Ou Cave.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

• You will be met by your local private tour guide where you will be transferred by private air conditioned vehicle to the boat pier where the cruise awaits.

• Once a sail the boat first makes a stop to explore Ban Xang Hai also known as the 'whiskey village' to see the process of making lao-lao, the country's beloved rice whiskey second only to Beer Lao in popularity.  Here you will be given a full demonstration of the traditional distillation methods.

• Continue by boat to the sactuaries of Pak-Ou Cave and witness the intriguing sight of over 4,000 Buddha images.

• Enjoy lunch on board the boat in front of Pak Ou Cave

• Cruise back to Luang Prabang on the Mekong River and observe the picturesque limestone formations and local way of life along the river.  

• Upon return to the boat pier your private guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
